Welcome to The Wilds Of Sipson

This Web site is all about the Wild (that's by name, not necessarily by nature!) family who lived in Sipson, Middlesex. Sipson is a small village located just north of Heathrow airport. It has been in the news fairly recently as, should the third runway go ahead, it will be razed to the ground.

The Wild family can be traced as living in the village from the mid 16th century until 1988 when my grandmother, the last Wild to live in Sipson, died. Nearly all were market gardeners or farmers.

The tree however expanded (as they do) and now includes many people from outside Sipson and the surrounding area. I have found connections to India, New Zealand, Australia and America. Added to market gardeners I now have builders, medical galvanists, ministers, dyers, shoemakers, butchers, bakers, and candle makers (He may have made the sticks too!)

Feel free to browse and if you find you are related please use the contact facility.

KNOWN ISSUES & PROBLEMS

There are, unfortunately, some issues still with the Tree View of the family tree. Parents are failing to display.

We have finally isolated this problem to the gedcom file produced by Legacy and have reported it as a bug. We await a reply and update for a fix

With the increasing numbers on the tree the name indexes can take a while to load - please be patient whilst we seek to find a way to make it faster.
